Jewelry For Everyone
Jewelry... Huh!! Now, the first thing that sends the motor- neuron sparks to enlighten my grey matter, when I come across the word 'Jewelry', is the fact I haven't dragged myself to buy one (junk jewelry for 'this punk') in the recent past.
It is hard to imagine the importance of jewelry in life, until you don't start thinking, rather dreaming desirously like a woman. I am reminded of the movie, What Women Want, for instance. I guess, I got to feel what a Lady does to get this article done. Wish I could look like Mel Gibson too!! But as they say - Man Proposes, God Disposes. Hard Luck!
However, this is not about the way I look or feel. It is about Jewelry. With the Valentine's Day just around the corner, it only becomes as important a topic, if not more, than the Obama mania ruling the air I breathe. So, its Cards, Champagne, Chocolates, Teddy Bear and of course Jewelry!!

For, the younger lot, with as much moolah stashed away to buy a burger at MacD, it is usually the silver trinkets or the imitations at best to show that "True" love. The gift-wrap might just be the better part of the present than the present itself. I have been an unaccounted witness to such scenes of puppy-love.
For the ones newly married, it's got to be the real deal. Recession is just a jargon and is tossed away like a used napkin, when it's about love. So, it is all about those precious stones and metals and all that could be considered expensive, with the lady luck shining on the fairer sex. Surely, brightens the gleam in the eyes of the ladylove and lighten the wallet of the earning one!
If you have been lucky enough to have endured the rough weathers on the sea of love and still sailing smoothly, then it's got to be something vintage for your lady. Nothing beats a Vintage necklace or a pair of earrings with some real history behind them. A vintage Jewelry has the same intoxicating affect on ladies that a Vintage bike or an artifact has on Men.
From time memorial Jewelry is been an intimate part of the human life. From the Royals, to the celebs, to the working kind or the ones that stay home, jewelry has been associated to not just beauty but memories. If you were to ask a lady about the pair of earrings she is wearing, you can be sure as hell that, there must be a story behind it.
And, I swear on those pin - cushioned human kinds called "Punk Rockers" who find Sex Pistols to be the best thing that ever happened to the planet earth that, even they have a story about every single safety-pin they have had pierced in their flesh!!
I wish I could write about a piece of jewelry that I possessed with the same cliché as I could inscribe about my collection of leather- bound paperbacks. But then, can there ever be any comparison between a Diamond necklace from D'damas and a paperback carrying the literary beauty of O'Henry.
